Patanjali's yoga sutras begin with the phrase: atha yoga anusasanam
This means: “Now yoga begins”. ATHA, NOW, is a key term in yoga in several ways. First of all, it means that something new is now beginning: you are now taking time for yourself, you are now doing something good for yourself, you are now starting yoga!
Even when practicing, it's about being in the here and now. During this period, let memories of the past, planning for the future, your wishes and daydreams fade into the background. Instead, focus on other things: how you feel your body now, how you breathe now and how you feel now.
With this in mind: The ATHA yoga studio invites you to start yoga NOW!
We are a group of yoga teachers who teach body-related yoga and draw their inspiration from different yoga schools.
In the ATHA YOGA step concept we have combined our suggestions undogmatically into a new, harmonious whole. We combine traditional knowledge from yoga and Ayurveda with modern pedagogy: the physical and breathing exercises of yoga are taught in such a way that you can immerse yourself in the depths of yoga step by step.
