What distinguishes “Yogasana” (yoga in the Iyengar tradition)
from other styles?
Yoga in the Iyengar tradition or “Yogasana” is an intensive training of the body that is characterized by attention to detail in practice.
Great care is taken when performing the asanas (postures and movements) and in every posture it is important to position the individual body parts anatomically correctly so that the asana can have an optimal effect on the spine, joints and organs.
With yogasana
- healthy posture is supported
- Misalignments of the musculoskeletal system are recognized and corrected within certain limits
- the effect on the internal organ systems plays a major role, because all body functions are stimulated and influences the vital organs such as the respiratory and cardiovascular systems and the higher-level control and regulation systems (nervous system, immune system, hormonal system). Yoga practice helps here to maintain health or heal, provided that it is taught with the necessary knowledge and sense of responsibility, and that it is practiced regularly and carefully, individually tailored.
An essential feature of yoga teaching in the tradition of B.K.S. Iyengar is the individual use of yoga aids such as straps, blocks, (seat) cushions.
The professional use of aids improves postural alignment in the positions, trains the practitioner's perception and supports the natural flow of breathing. It also enables beginners to perform the asanas correctly and quickly enjoy the positive effects of yoga, which are expressed psychologically through relaxation and clarity of mind and physically through strength, endurance and strengthening of the immune system.

It is a trapezoidal cloth that hangs from the ceiling.
You can place individual parts of your body in this cloth, touch different parts of it

Experience a completely new way or simply lie down in the cloth to relax in Savasana.
You can guess that ANANDA AERIAL YOGA is a lot of fun while you are all at the same time

Yoga, in which an opposite position is always practiced after an asana (body position),
You have several options in ANANDA AERIAL YOGA:

By using the cloth, the ANANDA AERIAL asanas are sometimes easier
implementable and help you to better understand the actual asana.
This training works the muscle groups on the arms, legs, back, stomach and

ANANDA AERIAL YOGA has something protective about it.
You are very protected in your cloth and you lie in the cloth like in a cocoon.
