Four weeks, a small group, a house

Your RYT® 200 yoga teacher training takes place in Rossatz on the Danube, in the heart of the Wachau region. The studio and accommodation are in the same building: from your apartment door, you walk through the courtyard directly into the studio.

What you learn

• Classical Hatha Yoga and Kundalini Yoga
• The philosophy behind it, including Tantra
• Teaching in small groups, with plenty of personal support

Sequence

26 days, Wednesday to Sunday each week:

• 7:00 AM Morning Class
• Theory in the morning
• 12:00 Lunch class
• Theory on Thursday and Friday afternoons
• 17:30–20:00 Evening classes

You can also start at any time with your own timetable and spread the training throughout the year.

Language

The course is taught in German and English . Basic English skills are required.

Cost

• €2,100 without accommodation
• €2,700 including accommodation in the apartments in the house

The price includes all instruction, printed manuals, and the RYT® 200 diploma. Meals are not included, but the apartments have their own kitchens.

Certification and funding

Matsya is a Yoga Alliance-registered school (RYS 200) and Ö-Cert certified. The training is eligible for funding, for example through the Lower Austrian Continuing Education Voucher or the waff (Vienna Employment Promotion Fund).

Going deeper: RYT® 300 in the Wachau

You've completed your 200-hour training and want to continue? The RYT® 300 will guide you deeper into Kundalini and Hatha Yoga and into tantric philosophy over 40 days in Rossatz on the Danube.

What you learn

• Kundalini Yoga and Hatha Yoga at an advanced level
• Tantric philosophy with classical texts such as the Vijnana Bhairava Tantra and the Devi Mahatmya
• Pranayama, Bandha, Mudra and Sukshma Vyayama
• Classes in the tradition of Dhirendra Brahmachari, Satyananda and Lakshmanjoo

Sequence

• 40 days in a row, from Wednesday to Sunday
• Morning, midday and evening classes
• Or spread throughout the year : Entry is possible at any time.

The groups are deliberately kept small.

Language

The course is taught in English with German support . This ensures that the training is internationally recognized yet easy to understand.
