From October 7th to 14th, 2026, a relaxing yoga week awaits you in Mallorca – right by the sea and in a pleasant autumn climate. Besides the group yoga sessions, there will be plenty of time for your own explorations, walks on the beach, or a trip to the beautiful old town of Palma.

Gentle start to the day (approx. 30 minutes)

We begin the morning together by the sea, away from the yoga mat. Mediterranean morning light and fresh sea air accompany us. With movement meditations and gentle body awareness and breathing exercises, we energize body and mind and prepare ourselves pleasantly for the day.

Yoga with heart & personality (approx. 75 minutes)

In my yoga classes, I will guide you through gentle yoga postures and beneficial movements synchronized with your breath – sometimes calm and powerful, sometimes dynamic and light, always with joy and a smile. No acrobatic contortions, but easily manageable exercises that feel pleasant and are suitable for seniors.

You decide at any time whether you want to participate or take a break.

Asana is one of the best-known practices of yoga – and at the same time one of the most misunderstood. In this weekend seminar, we will delve deeply into the original meaning and practice of asanas as they are described in the classical Hatha Yoga texts.

We are researching:

1. The basic principles and objectives of āsana practice

2. the therapeutic and energetic effects of the asanas

3. Selected asanas in their traditional execution and application

The seminar is aimed at yoga practitioners, teachers and interested individuals who wish to understand the deeper dimension of āsana practice beyond the purely physical aspects.

Āsana is one of the most well-known yogic practices—and yet, one of the most misunderstood. In this weekend seminar, we will explore the true essence and purpose of āsanas as described in the classical Haṭha-yogic texts.

M.Ed., Ph.D., D.Litt., ND, DYEd. Diploma in Yoga Therapy, Sports Medicine, Physiotherapy, and Sports Journalism; Director of the Lonavla Yoga Institute LYI, India. Areas of focus in yoga teacher training include classical yoga, Sanskrit, and mantra.

‍Dr. Manmath Gharote is director of the Lonavla Yoga Institute (India).

He holds a Ph.D. in sports science, the first Ph.D. of its kind at the University of Mumbai.

He has published over 25 scholarly works dealing with ancient yoga manuscripts. For his outstanding work on and based upon classical yoga texts, he was awarded a Doctor of Letters in Yoga (Honoris Causa).

He has led more than 150 yoga seminars in Latin America, Europe, and Asia. He has also conducted 10 international yoga conferences and 8 international yoga workshops.

He is a consultant for several international yoga organizations, a member of the Board for Yoga & Sports Culture at the University of Pune, India, and has received numerous national and international awards.

The spiritual dimensions of yoga are strongly influenced by meditative exercises and experiences. What's fascinating is that so many different practices are taught, all equally valid. Just as yoga and Ayurveda therapy are individually tailored processes, we are increasingly coming to the realization that the form of meditation must suit the individual, not the other way around. Therefore, it is worthwhile to experience and explore various practices and to understand their effects from both a spiritual and psychological perspective.

In this one-day seminar and workshop, we will practically explore and learn about meditation. At the same time, we will delve into the philosophical background using original texts from the yoga tradition. In 5 sessions of 30 minutes each, every Thursday (fixed, consecutive and progressive appointments), I will guide you step by step into meditation.

We will practice two classic forms of meditation and immerse ourselves together in the infinite abundance of living stillness:

Mindfulness meditation - in this practice you consciously focus your attention on an anchor point, such as your breath.

Open awareness - here you broaden your perception instead of focusing on a single point.

In addition, we practice breathing techniques for more calm and presence and learn to consciously flow through the chakras with the breath in order to activate them and integrate them into practice (prior knowledge of the chakras is not necessary - everything will be explained in the course).

In each session, I'll show you what's important and how we'll proceed before we meditate together. You'll practice and learn step by step. By the end of this course, you'll have internalized a practice that you can use on your own anytime – no prior knowledge or experience required.

A harmonizing yoga practice workshop (3 hours)

The focus of the session is on relaxation and letting go, as well as activating, recharging, and distributing the body's own energy. Accumulated tension and emotions are released through the exercises, and positive, new, and revitalizing emotions and movements are generated.

At the beginning of this workshop, you will receive an elixir to prepare for the energy work, as well as an energy gemstone (of your choice) for the (external) storage of the energies you generate through the exercises. This stone will then belong to you. You can recharge it and carry it with you as often as you like.

Yin yoga exercises go deep, relaxing, stretching, and loosening the muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia. In this workshop, the main focus of the practical Yin yoga exercises is on the spine, along which our seven main chakras (energy centers) are located.

Energy Yoga exercises promote springy, loosening movements and mobility - they gently get the energies flowing.

Breathing exercises (Pranayama) promote the training of self-awareness and, together with visualization exercises in guided meditations, strengthen energy activation and distribution.

To harmonize the chakras, we do sensory and sound exercises as well as energy massages, which are also beneficial for opening individual chakras.

You will also receive a handout with an overview of the functions and meanings of the 7 main chakras, including a short guide to chakra work.

A chakra test helps you find out which chakras are particularly well opened and which might need a little more activation - for your individual practice in everyday life.

A Yoga Nidra practice at the end ensures that the effect of this workshop is further intensified in a lasting way.
