A festive fusion of yoga, Christmas market, open day and our anniversary: ​​20 years of Yoga Vidya in Bad Meinberg. The highlight is actually soaring light - in the form of a fire show.

On the 2nd of Advent, Yoga Vidya invites everyone to a spiritual Christmas market in Bad Meinberg. Three heavenly Christmas angels welcome our guests from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Families, couples and singles are welcome to trial yoga lessons. For children there is an exploration of the rainforest in the jungle yoga class. It gets cozy while singing traditional Christmas carols as well as mantras and percussion together with dancing in the evening.

You can browse for Christmas presents at the donation bazaar with lots of original, decorative, useful and bizarre items.

Christmas treats: crepes, cakes, vegan sweet specialties.

  • About Us: Yoga Vidya e.V. is a Hindu religious community organized as a non-profit association with the aim of spreading the practice and techniques of classical, holistic yoga based on Yoga Vedanta in the tradition of Swami Sivananda and Sri Sancaracarya. Yoga Vidya teaches yoga in its diverse aspects in courses and seminars, including Hindu scriptures such as the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipka and the Yoga Sutras. In the Yoga Vidya Ashrams, daily pujas, homas, satsangs, the recitation of holy mantras and the study of the scriptures form the spiritual-religious basis. Founded in 1992 by Shri Sukadev Bretz and based in Horn-Bad Meinberg, Yoga Vidya has centers in around 80 German cities as well as in Austria, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Spain.
