The prenatal yoga training provides an adapted yoga practice for women during pregnancy that has a beneficial, relaxed and at the same time strengthening effect on their body and the connection to their unborn baby.
It has now been proven that yoga not only makes pregnancy more bearable but, above all, makes the birth itself easier.
Yoga for pregnant women is different from conventional yoga. It is gentler and slower and therefore tailored to the special needs of this unique time. Prenatal yoga aims to improve physical, mental and spiritual well-being and to build and strengthen the mother-child connection.
As a yoga teacher who wants to teach pregnant women, it is essential to have sound background knowledge.
In the prenatal yoga training you will learn not only the basics of prenatal/pregnancy yoga but also how women can use yoga to support themselves and the unborn child.
Pregnancy brings with it many physical and mental changes. Understanding the psyche of a pregnant woman and establishing a mother-child bond are just as important tasks in pregnancy yoga as physical activity.
You will also gain a deep insight into the phases of pregnancy, the development of the baby in the womb, the pregnancy hormones and the associated changes in the woman.
You understand how to adapt the asanas in pregnancy yoga in the different trimesters and can offer assistance and alternatives and know how to practice and teach your participant mindfully and specifically.
You will also learn which pranamya (breathing techniques) and meditation techniques are suitable for relaxation for pregnant women and to what extent they can make childbirth easier.
You will learn do's and don'ts, how to set up a prenatal yoga class and how you can create a harmonious experience for your participant.
The prenatal yoga training is suitable for yoga teachers, pregnant women or participants who are planning a pregnancy and are interested in this topic in advance.
The prenatal yoga training and postnatal yoga training can be booked individually or together.
The pre- and postnatal yoga teacher training is registered with the Yoga Alliance as further training for yoga teachers. So you can get credit for it if you are listed there.
