Experience the combination of tradition and innovation at this unique event that combines the 5th European Yoga Congress and the 3rd World Yoga Congress. Look forward to a mix of yoga classes, lectures, practical workshops, satsangs and cultural performances – all in a warm, open atmosphere.
Be inspired by a variety of internationally renowned yoga masters such as Sat Guru Jí Swami Amrita Suryananda, President of the European and World Yoga Federation, and Swámini Átmaprakáshánanda, an important teacher of Vedanta philosophy. The program is as colorful and lively as yoga itself – and is offered in both English and German (with translation).

  • About Us: Yoga Vidya e.V. is a Hindu religious community organized as a non-profit association with the goal of spreading the practice and techniques of classical, holistic yoga based on Yoga Vedanta in the tradition of Swami Sivananda and Sri Sancaracarya. Yoga Vidya teaches yoga in its many aspects in courses and seminars, including on Hindu scriptures such as the Upanishads, the Bhagavad Gita, the Hatha Yoga Pradipka and the Yoga Sutras. In the Yoga Vidya Ashrams, daily pujas, homas, satsangs, the recitation of holy mantras and the study of scriptures form the spiritual and religious basis. Founded in 1992 by Shri Sukadev Bretz and based in Horn-Bad Meinberg, Yoga Vidya has centers in around 80 German cities as well as in Austria, the Netherlands, Bulgaria and Spain.
