Hello and Namaste,
We warmly welcome you to the Soham Yoga School website. The yoga school for young and old, as well as for big and small and for all the other nice opposites that we know. We invite you all to practice yoga with us.
Yoga is a millennia-old exercise program that helps bring more satisfaction, relaxation and joy into our lives. With simple physical exercises, breathing techniques, relaxation procedures or meditations, the ultimate goal: 'the unity of body-mind-spirit' should be experienced.
The Sanskrit word 'Soham' translates as 'I am (that)' and expresses that I am part of a divine and universal consciousness. It can also be translated as 'I am he' or 'He is me' and means that the good Lord is a part of me or vice versa. So there is a higher consciousness within me and somehow I also feel the desire to get there. This desire embodies yoga and is expressed as sound vibration in Soham.
But now, many words have already been written again. Yoga is something you do. Just come by and try out a yoga class.
