Workshop: MAKE YOUR OWN MALA – KlangKlub e. V. Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen
Make a little wish... You don't want to buy a MALA, but want to make your own personal MALA in a group? Then you've come to the right place. A MALA is a great gift for yourself or a very nice gift for friends or your partner.
Would you like to take part in the MALA WORKSHOP and wish to receive this workshop as a voucher for Easter, your birthday or Mother's/Father's Day?
My MALA workshop runs as follows:
Before the workshop, I will select the gemstones, knotting silk, guru bead and tassel for your MALA with you by phone. You can either choose your birthstone, or you can select gemstones based on their healing properties, or simply based on your personal taste. Otherwise, you can also knot your MALA with sandalwood beads (natural colors).
At the beginning of the workshop, I will give you all the materials. We then practice tying tight knots right next to the bead for about 20 minutes. Then you arrange your gemstones or wooden beads on a bead board and I will show you how to make your own tassel. Then you knot your own MALA. At the end you will receive a cloth bag,
in which you can store your MALA. I will also give you a paper pendant with the gemstones and their respective meanings and effects that were used in your MALA.
While we knot them, I will tell you about the history and tradition of MALAS as Buddhist prayer beads, meditation accessories and pieces of jewelry, and we will recite a suitable mantra. At the end of the workshop, your MALA will be consecrated with a mantra of your choice and then energetically cleansed.
The MALA workshop takes place with a minimum of six to a maximum of twelve people.
It lasts a maximum of 6 hours and costs: regular 148 € if you register from 01.05.2025.
Early bird 128 € (until 30.04.2025). Payment of the workshop fee is due immediately upon booking.
Snacks and drinks will be provided during the workshop.
These work utensils are included in the price:
2–4 silver beads, 2–4 gemstone beads, simple guru bead in silver (worth up to 15 €),
1 needle, pliers, bead board, various cords and threads.
