Unusual yoga places and special yoga classes in Hamburg

  • Yoga on the water SUP yoga courses on the Alster are offered by Flying Yoga and the SUP Club Hamburg.
  • The Y8 Yoga Center combines art and yoga . Here you can practice art yoga in rooms with regularly changing exhibitions.   Um   In order to achieve a visual silence that supports inner peace, there is a simple dress code when practicing.
  • Hip Hop and Yoga The love of movement and music is combined here. The Footprints Studio in the Alte Dosenfabrik is currently offering such a class (as of July 2017)
  • XXL Yoga The yogis at Flying Yoga have heard that it is a hurdle for overweight people to attend yoga classes. For curvy yogis, there are therefore special XXL yoga classes.
  • Yoga in the bouldering hall Because yoga is a wonderful complement to climbing, there is Flashh Bouldering Hall Yoga Classes. Climbers and non-climbers can participate without prior registration.
  • Yoga on the jetty For the early risers and outdoor enthusiasts among you, there are two providers in Hamburg: Alsteryoga and Yoga on the Alster. It starts on Mondays at 7 a.m. for a wonderful start to the new week.
  • Yoga and doing good. The Hamburg association Projekt Yoga eV is committed to making yoga and meditation accessible to everyone and has launched Community Yoga . Here, yoga studios join together to form a community and offer yoga and meditation classes every month on a donation basis. The donations collected are used for social projects, such as cooking courses and yoga lessons with migrant classes. From Hamburg, the idea has already spread to Ingolstadt, Cologne and Aachen and will hopefully soon   can be found in all major cities in Germany.

Hamburg yoga events

Since 2014, the association Yoga for All eV has been organizing the Long Night of Yoga to enable all people who would otherwise not have access to yoga practice and instruction to experience yoga, based on the motto "if people don't come to yoga, yoga comes to them." The Long Night of Yoga now takes place in 8 cities. This year, the Long Night of Yoga will take place on June 24, 2017.
