Description yoga
About me:
Even as a child, my great passion was acrobatics and so I attended acrobatics courses for several years and stood on the stage in the circus.
A few years later, I traveled for several months through India and Central America and finally discovered yoga for myself.
And so the world trips ultimately became journeys into the depths of myself and new paths in life opened up.
I have been practicing Hatha Yoga daily for five years now and completed my two-year yoga teacher training at 'Yoga Vidya' in Berlin in January 2013. During another trip to India, I trained in Ayurveda in addition to numerous yoga workshops and took part in further training in Anusara Yoga in Berlin.
Over the last few years I have taught various groups and found teaching a great joy.
My motivation comes from my heart and I want to introduce other people to the strengthening and healing effects of yoga.
Let's defy the weather and always let the sun shine in our hearts :-)
For yoga lessons:
I teach Hatha Yoga and am very inspired by Anusara Yoga: a powerful and dynamic form of Hatha Yoga.
Through an interplay of static and dynamic elements, we develop both muscle strength and flexibility, always guided by our breath. Breathing exercises, short meditations and relaxation techniques are added as the lesson progresses.
I particularly value learning to treat ourselves carefully and lovingly and accepting our own limitations.
Everything is possible, nothing is neccesary :-)
Yoga in general:
Yoga is a millennia-old wisdom from India that offers a practice for people of different traditions, regardless of religion, and harmonizes body, mind and soul.
There are different yoga paths, one of which is Hatha Yoga, which is characterized by the following points: physical exercises (asanas), breathing (pranayama), relaxation (shavasana), proper nutrition and positive thinking/meditation.
Regular exercise strengthens the body, mind and soul and therefore has a preventive and healing effect.
It opens our hearts and thus connects us with the source of deepest joy.
Events:
Mondays from 7:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.: intermediate level
Intermediate/Basics:
Here you will learn the basis for independent and advanced yoga practice and develop body awareness, correct alignment in the asanas and, above all, joy in the practice.
We will take time for the precise alignment of the postures as well as for practicing flowing movement sequences.
Another focus is the connection between breath and movement, breathing exercises (Pranayama), deep relaxation (Shavasana) and meditation.
This course is suitable for ALL LEVELS:
BEGINNERS learn the important basics of yoga here.
ADVANCED PEOPLE can refine their practice and resolve bad postures due to the strong focus on alignment.
The uncomplicated asanas can also be practiced under different aspects, with the intensity appropriate to your level, so that you can experience very deep effects on different levels (physical, mental, energetic).
If practiced with appropriate intensity, the basic postures can be at least as strenuous and demanding as more complicated postures.
In general, every asana, no matter how simple it is, opens up an endless journey of discovery within yourself.
Basic doesn't mean less demanding...
Depending on the level and needs of the participants, the basic program (asana, vinyasa, pranayama, shavasana, meditation) is supplemented and intensified: sometimes holding the asanas for longer, more complex vinyasas, advanced pranayama, some advanced asanas.
Throughout the entire practice we will continually concentrate on perceiving and accepting our own limitations!
What makes an advanced person is not that they can contort themselves incredibly, but that they treat their body carefully and lovingly!
Everyone goes as far as is comfortable for them. I will always offer alternatives to advanced elements!
