Amara is a Sanskrit term that means immortal.
Sanskrit is an immortal language, its voice is eternal; their reputation goes through the centuries. Embedded in it is the basis of all languages ​​in the world.
My name is Radhika Annika Siegenbruk, I am a trained yoga teacher in the Sivananda tradition with intensive and long-standing practice.
I came to yoga through meditation. My first experience with yoga was shortly after a meditation retreat - a friend taught me. I felt the benefits of yoga right after this yoga class. Today, thanks to yoga, my body is my best therapist for mental health. I was so inspired that I started practicing yoga regularly.
I got to know a few different styles of yoga, but I mostly stayed in the realm of Hatha yoga. The thirst for knowledge and curiosity grew and I began to complete yoga teacher training over several years alongside my work as an account manager. My goal was to live healthier and more consciously. During the course of the training at the yoga school “Yoga Vidya Darmstadt” the desire to pass on this knowledge grew.
Now yoga & meditation have become an integral part of my life.
The way I want to teach yoga is primarily about body awareness and mindfulness and loving treatment of yourself and the environment. It is important to me that the course participants learn to know and respect their personal boundaries.
I design the lessons to be multi-faceted, meditative, demanding, intensive, but also gentle and loving. I would also be happy to accompany the lessons musically with instruments such as guitar, sansula, kantele or harmonium as well as with the human voice.
A big thank you goes to all the people I meet every day as a teacher.
I am happy if I can inspire and motivate other people to some extent.
