Four and a half years that can change your life
The training lasts a total of four and a half years and takes place alongside employment.

What you can expect:
- Intensive asana practice: precise alignment, mindful movements, health-oriented bodywork
- Breath & Meditation: Pranayama, relaxation, techniques for presence and inner peace
- Yoga philosophy as well as medical basics - including anatomy, physiology and pathology of the musculoskeletal system and organ systems
- Professional lesson planning, methodology & didactics: how to plan and lead yoga classes, adapt them to groups or individuals, and guide people safely
- Individual support: The training accompanies personal processes and supports you on your individual yoga path.
The teaching qualification is recognized by health insurance companies and qualifies graduates for professional, health-oriented teaching.

Learning in a special environment
The classes take place at the European College for Yoga and Therapy (ECYT) – in the peace and vastness of the former Gerode Monastery.
Gerode Monastery offers what yoga needs: clarity, silence, community.
The training consists of 990 hours of classroom instruction, including internships, individual lessons, self-study and examinations .



A brief background: since 1977 , "WEG DER MITTE" has stood for high quality standards in training and professional development in the health and social sector.
The European College for Yoga and Therapy (ECYT) builds upon this foundation and also utilizes the integrative learning method developed by "WEG DER MITTE" (Path of the Middle). This approach combines theory and practice through the following six components: personal practice, observation, study, group work, lectures, teaching, and project work.
Who is this training suitable for?
For all those who see yoga not as a sport, but as a path.
For people who want to delve deeper into the practice, strengthen their health holistically, bring mindfulness into everyday life and authentically pass on yoga.
Participation requirements include a minimum age of 25, a completed secondary education, and completed or ongoing vocational training. Furthermore, you should have previously participated in at least two Benefit Yoga® seminars at the Weg der Mitte Kloster Gerode .
Participation in the Benefit Yoga® year-long group is also recommended as preparation.
