Sometimes your mind is so full that gentle stretching just isn't enough – then only movement helps. Power yoga is perfect for days like these.
What makes Power Yoga so special?
Power Yoga evolved from Ashtanga Yoga but has established itself as an independent, freer style. Instead of a fixed sequence of poses, the focus is on strength, endurance, and flow – teachers structure their classes dynamically and often with music. Anyone who has ever left a yoga class drenched in sweat but with a completely clear mind probably knows this feeling.
Who would benefit from getting started?
Power yoga is a good fit if you:
- You want to combine sport and mindfulness, instead of having to choose between the two.
- looking for a balance to sedentary work
- You have previously dismissed yoga as "too slow".

3 tips for getting started
1. Start slowly. Even if the pace seems fast – beginner courses give you enough time to learn the movements correctly first.
2. Drink enough water. Power yoga will make you sweat – plan for that.
3. Listen to your body. Not every hour has to push you beyond your current limits.
