This article presents a special project of the Burger Roland-Gymnasium that combines education and sustainability. As part of "6days2karao", students at the school in Burg near Magdeburg want to make a contribution to supporting Maasai children in Karao, Tanzania , by selling organically grown and fairly traded coffee.
As part of the project , coffee beans are sourced directly from Tanzania and freshly roasted in a local roastery in Aschersleben . The students then label and market the finished, packaged product themselves. A special highlight: the corresponding label was also designed by a former student of the school.
With every purchase of 250 grams of coffee, €3.50 goes directly to supporting the education and nutrition of Maasai children in Karao. The price per pack is €9, plus shipping costs (€5). The product is organic, fairly traded coffee - a treat for coffee lovers and at the same time an important contribution to a good cause.
