Would you like to help people with complaints with yoga? Would you like to learn to give yoga classes for special target groups with physical complaints? Then this yoga therapy training is just right for you.
As part of the training, you can expect a great program with yoga, meditation, deep relaxation and much more. in the ideal ambience. Extensive forests and parks, cozy lounges, a quiet monastery, organic vegetarian/vegan cuisine as well as guided walks, hikes, Nordic walking, Kirtan singing, sound meditations. Wellness in the Ayurveda oasis, in the sauna or while swimming on request.
With the holistic yoga therapy training you can:
- respond competently to specific target groups with physical complaints
- expand your existing yoga teaching practice and offer yoga classes for specific groups, e.g. yoga for asthmatics, yoga for the disabled, yoga for back problems
- Use yoga exercises and yoga techniques in a targeted therapeutic manner
- Develop and offer individual yoga exercise programs for private lessons and individual consultations
- respond better to special requirements in yoga lessons

In this training you will learn the basic concept of holistic yoga therapy with the following main content:
- Model of the Panchakosha Tattwa, the 5 covers from the Taitariya Upanishad
- Aadhi – Stress and its management
- Aadhija vyadhi (psychosomatic complaints)
- Psychosomatics/Vedic psychology (structure of the mind, interaction of psyche and body)
- The application of yoga therapy as described in the Yoga Vasishta
- Pathology from a yogic point of view
- Therapy techniques: yoga physiotherapy, breathing movements, asanas, pranayamas, shat kriyas, cyclic relaxation, prana guidance, counseling, meditation techniques etc.
The holistic yoga therapy training includes yoga therapy exercises and techniques that can be used particularly successfully for: psychosomatic complaints, asthma, allergies, back pain, knee pain, headaches, migraines, arthritis, anxiety, depression, muscular dystrophy
- In this holistic yoga therapy training you will learn how to carry out a consultation in a targeted manner.
1st week of holistic yoga therapy training:
Basics of yoga philosophy. Indian writings and philosophical systems. Basics of Teaching Yoga Therapy.
2nd and 3rd week:
Practical learning and practice of various yoga therapy techniques for various problems and illnesses. breathing movement. Special techniques. Asanas. Pranayamas. Kriyas, the yogic cleansing techniques, Cyclic Relaxation = cyclical relaxation, PCT = Prana Chanalizing Technique, pranic guidance techniques, meditation techniques and much more.
4th week of holistic yoga therapy training:
Practicing what you have learned, mutually guiding what you have learned, practicing consultations, advice, diagnoses, treatments in pairs or in small groups.
Requirements for participation in the holistic yoga therapy training: Yoga teacher training BYV, BDY, SYVC, others on request. Longer own yoga practice. Yoga teaching experience. Yoga Kriyas are practiced in yoga therapy training - therefore not suitable for people with serious illnesses or for pregnant women. Examination: The holistic yoga therapy training concludes with a written examination, a closing ceremony with a banquet, the ceremonial presentation of the certificate and the granting of the spiritual blessing. Certificate: If you pass the exam and meet the conditions of participation, you will receive the “Yoga Therapist BYAT” certificate from the Professional Association of Yoga and Ayurveda Therapists (BYAT). 763 teaching units (at least 363 UE therapy plus 400 UE yoga teacher training).
English with German translation.
If your yoga therapy training lasts at least 2 years (since the beginning of the basic yoga teacher training) it meets the requirements of the health insurance companies, provided you meet the other health insurance regulations (i.e. either the 2-year module training with 642 teaching units, the 2-year yoga teacher training with 723 teaching units or have 3-year yoga teacher training with 780 teaching units. With any state-recognized degree or professional qualification and a yoga teacher without a basic medical/pedagogical profession, at least 200 hours of teaching experience as a yoga teacher must also be proven.) Recognized as educational leave in North Rhine-Westphalia, Hesse and Saarland.
